Description
Turn button pins combine turn buttons with quilting pins. The turn buttons are made from nickel-plated brass, while the quilting pins are crafted from galvanized steel and come in various sizes and lengths. Available in 12 and 14 gauge diameters, the pins can be 2.5″ (63.5mm) or 4.5″ (114mm) long. Custom sizes and materials can be ordered.
These pins are used to install removable insulation blankets or covers, working alongside eyelets and washers. To secure, insert the pin through the insulation blanket and attach a self-locking washer on the underside.
The washer can also serve as a cutting guide: trace around it, carefully cut the material, and create slits for the eyelet prongs. Place the fiberglass cloth between the eyelet and washer, ensuring the eyelet is on top and the washer below. Make sure the washer’s indents face down to accommodate the bent prongs, then firmly bend the prongs with a flathead screwdriver.
Once the insulation blankets are in place, simply twist the turn button to lock or release them.
